Post RAM
I currently have 1 or 2GB's of RAM, I don't quite know for sure. I was looking at getting 2 more Gigs, but I didn't know if it would be beneficial or make a whole hell of a lot of difference. I know that this thing can only hold 4 max, but other than that, can you guys give me some advice or pros and cons?

Well the dude at CompUSA said my computer could hold up to 4, so take that for what it's worth. But hypothetcally if I only had 1 Gig would bumping it up to 2, for example, have a noticable change in game play?

Yes your PC can hold 4GB, but from my understanding, windows XP doesn't support that much, unless you're running a server Edition of windows, which I believe any server edition of windows supports up to 4GB. Those peoples pay are based alot on commission, so they will sell you all the RAM your pc can hold even though your OS doesnt support it. They're called Americans.

you would be best getting that extra GBs of RAM, make sure you have a static swap file on a seprate parition on your HDD or another HDD, lower your page file to as little as possible, also move your temp internet files to that second partition. If you go into your CMOS and if you can I would suggest changing your cast latency to 2, once that is done you may also want to get a headsink on your chips.. hehe also XP can support up to 64GB of RAM. Vista will be able to support up 16TB of ram. When buy RAM you will want to look for some that is set to mabye a 2.5 or 2 cast latency that way you will not have to change it later in your CMOS. Another point to help you would be to put your biggest chip of ram closest to the CPU because the CPU will access that chip the most and since its the biggest there is less of a chance that it will have to access the other ram you have behind it, which will also increase preformance.
