Start a ponzi scheme!

it may be a joke, but its a joke that in this day and age you have to go through in order to get into alot of career fields. besides, if you can get your shit taken care of for a few hours a day its fun as hell the rest of the time

I don't understand. I probably spend about 3 hours a week studying and doing work and I have at least a 2.0 and I know I could do way better because one semester I had a 4.0 and I did just as little.

I feel for ya whites, It's a shitty situation all around. On the topic of military, it would be a decent idea to get into a field that you can use after your service term is up. ATC (Air Traffic Control) is a great choice. Air Force, Navy, and Army all have them as an enlisted position too. You'll already have all the training and experience on the govt's dime as well. For that matter, you can just do a 2 yr CTI school instead of the military. The up side is, as a civilian, you'll make upwards of $100k/yr after your fully certified, especially somewhere like BWI or Dulles Intl. it's not art, but if you can solve problems and are quick on your feet, you'll never beat the pay for the work your doing.

If you don't mind me saying Eggwhites...I think you should take a semester off and get a job so you can start paying off your Stafford Loan. If I am not mistaken after you finish/quit/get kicked out of college you have 6 months of a grace period before you have to start paying that back, and you don't want to put off paying your student loans that shit will F*CK with your credit soooo bad. Anyway take the semester off and get a job!! Then really evaluate your education path drawing is well and all but from what I read in your post you really don't find it that interesting you just like the of possibility of drawing characters for a game.
There is a lot of degrees to get that are way more useful then Game Design. If you really want to draw for a living get a BA in some form of art and get a teaching license and go teach art classes. Most teachers make roughly $30-35k a year starting off here in Houston but they have pretty good health insurance and benefits. Just small steps to build on buddy but you have to stay active in school or you will just end up in the same situation.
